On March 2016, Demtech International and Matchi formed an alliance in order to expand the reach of both companies. According to the Financial Times article, global banks have been signing up for Matchi, the online matchmaking service to join forces with financial technology start-ups. This is currently posing a threat to disrupt the retail banking sector with superior digital services.
Some big players that have used Matchi's services include Barclays, AIB and Standard Bank. Matchi, for instance, is currently working with Barclays Africa Group, who are working on three pilot programs. Between Matchi and Demtech, who is active in EMEA, LATAM, and the US, the two companies will be able to become involved in many more international projects.
